Racing IF, Swedish sailmakers
Postat: 20 mar 2023 17:06
Hello,
On older pictures and movies, many IF-boats in Sweden race with Blixt / Bengt Johanson segel (for example SWE 1702 and SWE 1489). On newer pictures, I mainly recognise Gransegel and North Sails logo's in sails. Also still boats with Edman sails, but Henrik Edman stopped making sails.
My questions:
1. Are the Beng Johanson sails (http://www.bengtjohansonsegelmakeri.se/) still seen as competitive sails by the teams in Sweden that could win a SM?
2. Any other good alternatives to North/Gransegel in Sweden for IF racing? (I already know about Hyde Sails in Germany)
Looking forward to get advice.
Best regards, Menno
